How To Choose The Right Location For Fish Cages – 3 Citations That You Should Follow

Location for aquaculture cages plays an important role in the culture. If the location is perfect, you could boost your farming capacity easily.

What is the perfect location for cage installation? What are the citations?

In this blog, we are going to share 3 citations for choosing the right location for aquaculture cages.

1. Good water environment

The water surface should be wide and the level should be stable. The water temperature should not be too high. The water depth is 2.5 to 4 meters. The environment should quiet and quality should be fresh without pollution. The water acids should be neutral alkali.

2. Smooth water flow

The water speed should be 0.05 to 0.2 meters per second to ensure oxygen supply. Too fast water makes the fishes hard to swim. It will consume more energy and affect their growth.

3. Fertile water

If the cage is for silver and bighead carp, the water should be fertile and plankton-rich. Water transparency should be 30~50 centimeters. There should be less sediment in the water. Farmland water is a good option. If the water is turbid, it is not good to gain more plankton.
